There Was A Barricade Situation In Baltimore Last Night Due To Someone Taking A Bite Out Of A Man's Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Baltimore - An armed man upset over a sandwich led to a barricade situation Sunday evening in Dundalk, Baltimore County police said. Cpl. Shawn Vinson said officers were called around 5 p.m. for a domestic dispute at a house in the 7100 block of North Point Boulevard. A woman and her daughter came out of the house and told officers that shots were fired. Vinson said no one was hit by gunfire.
“We do have evidence that the weapon was fired,” Vinson said.
Vinson said around 8:50 p.m. that the man surrendered peacefully to officers.
Vinson said it turned out that the man got upset over someone in the house who took a bite of his grilled-cheese sandwich.
“Apparently, the man had made a grilled-cheese sandwich and either the wife or the daughter, we’re not exactly sure who, but somebody, one of the females in the house, took a bite of his sandwich, and apparently, that enraged him to the point that he fired shots in the house,” Vinson said.
I get where this guy is coming from, I get it. Nothing worse than making a nice, toasty grilled cheese on a brutally cold night, head to the bathroom, come back go a bite taken out of your masterpiece. What is the only logical response to that? Have to reclaim your territory. Let your family know this is your house, your rules, and your grilled cheese kingdom. So you fire your gun and let them know you won’t be walked on any longer.
If this were a ham sandwich, or bologna with mustard, maybe you don’t bring a gun into the mix. But a grilled cheese takes time, blood sweat and tears go into these bad boys. Probably had some tomato soup and saltines on the side all ready to go too. Do you want this guy to throw a temper tantrum and scream his head off like Ross did when someone ate his “moist maker”? No, that makes you look like a crazy person. I like the approach this guy took, just pop a few shells off, let them know that you are serious.
The good thing is that everyone is safe here, and the man was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation. But you’re damn right a lesson was learned today. Keep your god damn mitts off daddy’s dinner.
PS: I haven’t seen this guy, but I absolutely have seen this guy. Slightly overweight, bad haircut, wearing home-made jorts or purple camouflage pants, an Ed Reed jersey, and still calls into 105.7 asking for the Ravens to bring back “Antwan Boldin”.
